Flip the Script performs at The Kennedy Center | February 5, 2020

Encore Stage & Studio’s Flip the Script project engaged local students to develop an original theatre piece focused on Arlington, Virginia’s African American voices. The Day Nothing Happened, is a 45-minute production reflecting the emotional journey of Ronald Deskins, Michael Jones, Lance Newman, Gloria Thompson, and their community as they integrated Stratford Junior High School in 1959, the first school in Virginia to be integrated.
