SUMMARY:Stage Door - Myth-Understood (Ages: 12-15)
DESCRIPTION:Two teens writing a report on Greek mythology are startled when they get a visit from Hermes\, winged helmet and all! The messenger whisks them away to Mount Olympus\, where various gods and goddesses retell their myths to the students in a more favorable light. From Medusa just wanting to be noticed to Eurydice quickly tiring of Orpheus’s attention and Paris having to choose who to give his golden apple to on the reality TV show “Apple of His Eye\,” the two teens are surprised to hear different perspectives on familiar ancient Greek stories. The only problem is…the mythological figures might not exactly be telling the truth! This 2–week camp concludes with two fully staged performances–Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. \nDates: July 6-17\, 2026 (Weekends not included)\nTime: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (Extended hours available)\nLocation: Thomas Jefferson Middle School* | 125 S. DESCRIPTION:With just two weeks to bring together all of the technical elements of a show\, campers are challenged to bring their best\, most creative selves to camp each day. Campers will focus on exploring technical skills including scenic design\, costuming\, stage management\, and more. By the end of camp\, campers will be ready to present their designs to the public and run a seamless production of “Myth-Understood” from behind the scenes.
