DESCRIPTION:Students ages 9-18 are invited to audition for cast\, ages 12 and older may audition for crew for Encore’s productions of Mystery at Shady Acres and Reindeer Games. \nAbout Mystery at Shady Acres: The Shady Acres hotel staff is frantically preparing for the arrival of the prestigious Fairfaxes. Right from the start – everything seems to go awry! Just when the hotel manager Mr. Clifford thinks it’s all back to normal\, Mrs. Fairfax’s diamond necklace is stolen! Who could it be? And who is the mysterious man lurking about? We invite you to uncover the mystery with us in Encore’s production of the Mystery at Shady Acres! \nPerformances held at Thomas Jefferson Community Theatre (125 S. Old Glebe Rd. Arlington\, VA 22204) | Rehearsals held at Encore @ Cherrydale (3701 Lorcom Ln Arlington\, VA 22207) \nAbout Reindeer Games: Pulling Santa’s sleigh is hard work. And when team leader Dasher decides to retire\, coaches Kris and Carol Kringle host the Reindeer Games to find the next member of the Nifty Nine\, Santa’s reindeer crew. Eager reindeer recruits showcase their talents in a series of games\, but these aren’t your typical winter events\, nor your typical competitors. Before Coach Kris can announce the newest member\, the original Nifty Nine make a cameo appearance\, with a surprise announcement!
